Patricia Powell-Hughes*

With a reputation as the leading headhunter in the creative industries, EP's Managing Director and founder is the go-to person for clients wanting advice and a confidential sounding board. Through her expert networking and negotiating skills, over the years Patricia has connected many clients with talented candidates, and provided career-defining opportunities for key players in the industry. Patricia’s entrepreneurial spirit and desire to keep challenging herself mean she’s regularly involved in developing ideas and expanding the EP business (did we mention she enjoys a little networking?).  Starting off her early career in the travel industry, Patricia later joined Show Group, where she managed logistics for major projects including international feature films and global tours.  Working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry inspired Patricia to collaborate with NATPE on putting on Australia’s first Film & TV Careers Expo, which ran at Fox Studios Sydney in 1998-99. From this the concept of Entertainment Personnel was born, with the business rapidly establishing itself as the industry’s number one specialist recruiter.

Leanne Bushby*

Leading EP’s Recruitment Operations, Leanne has successfully placed hundreds of executives, creatives and professionals into a wide variety of roles, developing a reputation as a trusted adviser to clients and candidates right across the industry. Prior to joining EP Leanne spent many years in production roles in television, working for the ABC, Grundy’s (now Fremantle Media), and several independent production companies and co-producers. She later moved into sales and marketing, handling Encore Magazine’s film and broadcast trade titles and travelling to numerous international events to build up her contacts book. In 2000 Leanne was headhunted by Patricia to launch the Entertainment Personnel business and build up clientele. Once the company was successfully established, Leanne retrained and worked as a recruitment consultant for several years before moving into heading up EP’s services.

Catherine Powell*

Company Director Catherine manages EP’s finance department, payroll, and ever-expanding office operations. With a background in theatre and arts management, including running the successful Sanctuary Cove Theatre for many years, Catherine’s knowledge of film, theatre, exhibition and event management provides EP with invaluable insights and expertise in managing a wide range of staffing and resourcing scenarios for clients in the entertainment industry. 

Stratton Powell-Hughes*

Stratton recently joined the EP team as a Researcher, supporting EP Executive and Consulting Services with business analysis, research tools and financial modelling, and coordinating company and client searches. Over the last five years Stratton has worked in a casual capacity with EP, and has a broad knowledge of the recruitment business. Stratton will shortly graduate from Sydney University, majoring in economics and applied economics.
